Technical Support

Do I need to own a computer to attend?

No.  Andover eCademy is committed to providing the resources that each student will need in order to reach his or her full potential educationally, creatively, and personally. Enrolled families are eligible to check out a laptop after paying a $50 deposit and $25 technology fee to support the learning process.  These laptops are instructional property and must be returned when the student leaves Andover eCademy.  We provide technical support and troubleshooting for these systems.

Can students use their personal computers for school work?

Yes.  All of the courses are web-based.  Please no Cromebooks or Tablets as the parts of the software are Java based and Cromebooks and Tablets are not compatible .  If a student chooses to use his/her own computer, the laptop deposit is waived.

Do you provide internet access, and what are the requirements?

No.  Acquiring and maintaining internet access is the responsibility of each family prior to the start of the program.

  • Intel i3 2.1 GHZ duo-core processor or equivalent
  • 4GB Ram
  • Windows 7 or later
  • Ms Office 2010 or later
  • Stable internet connection

What if my child is not computer literate? Can he still participate? Is there support?

Students do not need to have an extensive knowledge of computers to be successful at Andover eCademy. Our trained technical staff has the ability to walk students through problems they may encounter using their new computer. Below is a technical support link.
